Lots to like in the wine's herb and stem character, particularly on the nose. The palate though is starting to show its age and the usually Cristom concentration and balance isn't the same in this vintage. A bit lighter weight and showing some flab. Drink this vintage sooner than later.

Gorgeous wine that opened considerably over the 3 hours we drank it. This was from a hot vintage, and the alcohol level was purportedly 14.0%, but it was elegant and balanced until the very last final, warm moment on the finish. I found myself admiring the winemaking, recognizing the terroir (despite a ripe year) and appreciating our patience in waiting to consume it. It’s ready now, though; I will drink my final bottle in 2021.

Very good wine and in a perfect place. Many 2009 Oregon pinots were overripe and some are already over the hill, but this bottle was elegant and beautifully balanced from beginning to end. We drank it during and after dinner over a period of two hours. Layers of flavor, all in harmony, very fine.

Wines that a Burgundy Drinking Group Will Enjoy: Semi-Virtual Blind Tasting (Northside of Chicago): Double blind. Spice driven with very ripe fruit. Bit warm on finish. Best to enjoy in the next few years.

Nice nose and terrific pallet. Turned off by the strong finish of wood and vanilla. Nice wine, just not for me.
