Gaining some complexity with a moderate sweetness and good acidity. Unlike previous bottles, this didn't change much after remaining open for 3 days. In a nice place right now.

On day one yellow orchard fruits, sweet for the pradikat, not much complexity. On day two the the wine seems more interesting with some lime and a savory note added. The acidity seems more prominent and the wine less sweet. Probably best to hold for at least 3 years.

Downright delicious. Weighty fruit, crushed stones, touch of golden honey botryized goodness. There's still lots of baby fat, and given that the acidity will hold this all together, I'm putting my last bottle down for a good long while...

Tasted after 2010 Zind-Humbrecht Riesling Brand VV, this is much lighter and more delicate, but also less complex. Notes of honey, lovely citrus fruit. Really fresh and vibrant. Good length. 90-92

(Leitz Rüdesheimer Berg Roseneck Riesling Spätlese) ($45.00) Part of it is gauzy and inferential, like a drawn bath full of yellow rose petals, and another part is as concentrated as a demi-glace; smoke and mirabelle and cox-orange pippins, sensationally firm structure and this mystic dreamy length that seems to arise from some lost cloister inside your soul. It swirls and swells in a chromatic chord of stones, flowers and lemon blossom. Hypnotic, amazing, my wine of the vintage.
