Popped & poured with lamb shanks. Meaty red fruit notes on the nose & palate. A bit thin on the attack, gains a little strength across the midpalate, ending nicely. Spice & white pepper tones on the palate and finish.

Pop and Drink: Lots of oak and tannic on the nose, very tannic throughout. Tannins drowned the wine, could not taste the "qualities" of the wine.
Decanted 3.5 hours: MUCH BETTER! Berries, some campfire smoke and tart blueberries on the nose. Red fruit, a bit of spice and muted dried figs on the mouth. Old world style with a lot of complexity. Tannins really burned off with the decanting, very well balanced.
QPR is a little off, would be better at $15.00

Dark crimson color. Notes of daark berry, pepper, meat and florals. A bit thin on the palate; flavors of red fruit with a short finish.

Predominantly burnt rubber, not necessarily a bad thing if that's what you're into.

More complex than previous bottles, also had an hour of air prior to serving.
