Only starting to gain some deep straw color. The nose is somewhat dominated by oak (vanilla and a caramel tone). Underneath there are some tones of citrus and chalk. Full bodied, almost tannic attack. On the mid palate there are lots of dry stuff, salivating acidity, and an intense green apple fruit. Higly concentrated, the finish and aftertaste is razor sharp and citrusy. Long. An intense wine, but I still miss more complexity. I can’t really believe that this wine is too young. I really think this wine is beyond it’s best, and will probably evolve into something even mort tart. But, again, who an I to know?

BYO Centropa (Centropa, Oslo, Norway): Moden, gyllengul farge.

Enjoyed with brussel sprouts, almonds and citrus appetizer in Las Vegas. No detailed notes, but this was greatly appreciated as outstanding and complex, in its prime.

Drank blind next to the 2014 Christian Moreau Les Clos. DIAM 5. Riper than the 2014 but plenty of citrus and lifted floral notes on the nose. Chablis typicity with a hint of tropical fruits however this really clamps down on the finish with a punch of gritty acidity. I thought this was a 2009 as it was riper than I was expecting for a 2010. Drinking well now already, but you have to wonder...why only DIAM 5?

A beautiful wine - and on a good path towards maturity - still needs perhaps 5 more years - wow I am sure it could rate even higher
