Friday Night Brown Bagger (J&J's): Double blind. Deep straw color. Opens with a subtle varnish/chemical note, with apple and floral notes underneath. Bright acidity. Orchard fruit, a touch older. The fruit comes forward a bit more as this opens in the glass, but hints of oxidation remain. Guessed Italian chardonnay.

A really good bottle that shows a lot of freshness. I've had others that were premox'ed, but this one was spot on. It's good to taste a properly aged Chardonnay. Plenty of life left for excellent bottles.

This is a great wine that is still not fully mature. Light golden in color, with a palate showing lots of minerals and tart apple. The wine has many years left.

Bordeaux, Aged Cali Cabs and Burgundy with the Benchmark Wine Group in Port Chester (Il Sogno, Port Chester, NY): I unfortunately was rushing through wines so I did not give this the attention it deserves. I remember it was fresh, clean and quite young.
