First thought of this was that it was an new world oaked chardonnay. Lots of Oak, vanilla notes, buttery, big and fat on the palate. Very nice and enjoyable for the style, but no typicity here. 89

from vines planted in 1947. Very rich. Aged in 1-5 year old oak. Vanillin, flint, creamy peach and fennel. Med-full body for Sancerre. Super-rich and complex.

Very nice, full-bodied, richly-textured almost creamy Sancerre. Almost honeyed. Good energy without being aggressive. Well-balanced.
