Community Tasting Notes (2) Avg Score: 92 points

  • Vibrant and layered, not as opulent and flashy as the 2007, more suave, elegant and contemplative. Lots of minerality on the nose with quince, acacia, honey and fennel. Palate echoes the nose with some heather, honeysuckle and pistachio notes as well. Medium-full body for a Sancerre.

  • Rarely seen in U.S. Found a cache of this some years ago and bought it all. Has more depth and persistence than the regular Delaporte, which itself is excellent in most vintages. The two best bottles rated 93. This final specimen growing tired, barely hanging on to its better qualities. Drink up promptly.
