  • Decant for a couple hours. Had an excellent finish. full bodied with a smooth mouth feel. Went great with lamb chops on the grill and rosemary potatoes.

  • I very much enjoyed this wine. One of those wines that makes you think of all kinds of one word descriptors, beside fruit, for all those enhancing characteristics. You can tell this is Cabernet with some typical cassis, graphite, herbal, and slightly vegative aromas and flavors. Rich dark red color. Penetrating nose of cassis, cola, blackberry, black cherry, flowers, cedar, and minerals. Fresh and lively as it enters the palate, the 14% alcohol, ripe plum, blackberry, mulberry and cherry fruit, is amply enhanced with black licorice, sandalwood, graphite, and wet earth. Medium plus bodied. Almost layered and complex enough to break the 90 point glass ceiling. There are still considerable mouth drying tannis, and acidity, leading to believe there is more future for this wine. Solid, lingering dry finish of cherries, cola, and tannins.

  • Not nearly as good as previous bottles - little to no mint on the nose and palate, slightly candied and tastes much more commercial than previous - hopefully only a bad bottle...

  • Aromas of chocolate and spice, taste of dark berries with deep tannins. I bought this on the recommendation of an elderly Italian who migrated to Coonwarra and I am glad I took the train from Cinque Terra that day.

  • Solid, complex Cab, not overly extracted at all. Very strong blackberry aromas, and flavors of blackberries, lots of cassis. Long chalky tannins. Very good, could see this aging well for 3-4 years.
