This tastes exactly like what I would expect an entry level Coonawarra cab to taste like. On day two (no notes taken on day one), nose is powerfully eucalyptus and jalapeno, with a hint of cassis poking through.
Palate is medium plus bodied, with a bit of tannin sure, but nothing terribly overwhelming. More pyrazine, more eucalyptus, earth and leather. Some red fruit, but it isn't in the foreground. It's not an incredible wine, but it's exactly what I was looking for.

4 hours slow O. I'm not scoring this because it wouldn't be pretty, and it may someday be a pretty wine. Not today. There is eucalyptus and dirt, along with chewy green tannins. The tannins are the issue. Will they ever integrate? My stopped clock opinion is no.

Served by the glass. The eucalyptus thrust. It is a soft and decent CS bottle but at the same time it is diluted in aromas of black berries. Nothing else than fair.
Servido por copas. El empuje del eucalipto. Es una botella de CS suave y decente pero se diluye en aromas a bayas negras. Correcto sin más.

Tasting at Jim Barry Cellar Door (Clare): (coonawarra and clare fruit) leafy capsicum, eucalypt, black leather, smoke. Juicy tobacco, sweet leaf, lifted tannin. Sweet ash and leather.
