Classic left bank nose, so cab sauvignon dominated. In line with my earlier tasting note (dec 2020). A real joy to drink if you are a red B'x aficionado like me. Sappy, still fruity and well balanced. The breeding shows in this wine. Who needs average, a million bottles a domaine, new world reds?

PNP. Had no high expectations. After 12 years still has a dark hue with opulent primary and fruity tones like blueberry as well as secondary notes. Tannins have resolved to a level where you can enjoy this wine on its own. Nice acidity keeps everything in the right place. What a pleasant surprise for a cru bourgeois this age from a mediocre vintage! Claret at its best and that at an affordable price. This underscores my opinion that you shouldn't drink Bordeaux at too young an age. Well made. No rush if well stored.

The wine looks purple colored. The legs are medium. There is light sediment in the bottle. It smells like blackberry and black currant (cassis). It tastes like blackberry, black currant (cassis) and oak. The body is full. The wine has coarse texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has low acidity.
