  • PnP into big glasses to get some air, enjoyed over two days. Slightly better on day one with leather, forest floor, a hint of funk underlaid with black berries, smooth tannin, warm but still with a good mouth feel, long finish, on its own a bit rustic but perfect with mature soft cheese. On day two, the hint of funk has disappeared but also the fruit has declined.
At its peak of maturity now, will keep its level for a few years before it will start to decline, superb quality to price relation.

  • PnP, needs 30 to 60 minutes to open. Much better than two years ago, near to its peak now. Classical Médoc with first tertiary notes (leather and forest floor), good acidity and concentration, long finish. Not great, but 100% Médoc and incredible good for its price, matched perfect to the cheese and bread, drink now or within the next 6 years.

  • Bottle in perfect shape with a cork that can last for another twenty years. Decanted an hour before the dinner.
Nice nose with a lot of tertiary notes (mainly leather), but on the palate acidity, a lot of tannin, heat and a dry long finish, missing the fruit. Not sure if it is over the hill or just in a depression, let's wait another two years and see whether it comes back or not.

  • Médoc for the low budget, not very complex but very approachable and good companion to the dinner. In the nose dominating tertiary aromas (forest floor) but still some fruit in the background. On the palate mouth filling, fresh with still present tannins, medium length. Very good PQR, drink now or during the next 4 to 6 years.
