The nose is good, but not too expressive. Pencil, some wooden components, a little cassis. Good volume on the palate, grippy tannins. Feels a bit young. Ok at the price point, but lacks some fruit in the current state.

Medium-bodied, fruity, forward and already showing off its sweet red berries, freshness, and chewy mid-palate with ease. This is a solid Left Bank value wine.

Cru Bourgeois: Medium purple color. Aromas of tart currants, smoky berry compote, along with violets, cocoa, grilled herbs, chewing tobacco. A bit rough around the edges to start on the palate, the tannins have solid grip with moderate acidity and a mix of tart currants and black cherries. Notes of smoky earth, pepper, mushrooms, tar, chewing tobacco. Nice flavors but could use a few years to mellow out. Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.

Amazing wine that will develop greatly in the next 5-8 years. A bit tight right now, but wonderful smell of tobacco, blackberries, blackcurrant, undertoned vanilla and some smoke. Great QPR from the good 2018 vintage!
