Medium red brown color with a medium clarity. An interesting nose with some berry mixed in with an earthy almost sea foam scent and a bit of charred wood on the finish. Wine is flat and dry. Vegetal tones, slightly tart and a bit of woodiness.

Aroma redolent of meat, earth, with a vegetal hint. On the palette, fresh, up front earth and blackberries with coffee/slate and soft tannins. Better in a few years, but good all the same

I always seem to enjoy this wine. It's simple but it nails the region with fresh fruit and aromatic herbs, some earthy notes, smooth tannins and good acidic balance. Not spoilt by vulgar barrel aging. Good finish, no obvious astringency. at £8.50 it was getting expensive but is proving consistent and I might load up with this one.

I would drink this immediately, without aeration, and at 62-65 degrees. Enjoyable even on its own, nice fruit and impression.
