Nice wine. Old world nose with earth, a hint of black pepper and leather. A smooth black currant came through after a while. In the mouth it was thin, but ont harsh at all. Lacks finish, though. Nice wine for the price, I wasn't expecting too much and liked it. Personally I wouldn't keep much longer but should hold up well until 2013.

Ruby red with a lovely expressive nose: aromas of cooked bacon, green pepper, blackcurrant leaf and thyme. Delicate and fresh on the palate with light spicy tannins. Like the nose the flavours are earthy and savoury rather than fruity with graphite, green pepper and smoky coffee notes. Lovely and good value.

Decanted two hours. Candied cherries on the nose and palate, slightly Beaujolais-like. Nice structure for the price. A touch of quality oak. The candied aspect of the fruit is bothersome, but everything else is solid for a $14 Lebanese wine.

London Wine Fair - day three (London): Soft fruit on the entry with a touch of sweetness but then tannic bite coming through. Purple colour - short finish. Average.

Corks: Mediterranean (Rossford, OH): Great nose - dark and minty. Good structure, nice food wine. Creamy oak.
