Way better than the last bottle. Some pepper to accompany some herbaceous notes plus some menthol. Seems more knit together and complex vs the previous bottle. I think this will hold for quite awhile longer and may get better.

Lovely warm climate red blend. 40% Syrah, 30% each Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Plums and cassis with smoke and earth. Good acidity and big smooth tannins with an overall fruity nature. I hope to see more from this winery and region in the future.

Sounds like some of the other reviewers had compromised (mercaptan-induced) bottles. Mine, fortunately, was quite a bit better. A 40/30/30 blend of Sry/CF/CS, the final grape didn't show at all. Rather, it sported a tarry nose remiscent of the nose of some Northern Rhones with soft plummy fruits, pleasant herbal qualities from the Cab Franc and prominent acidity. Good spice made it a terrific partner to a Persian rice dish.

Blend of Syrah, Cab Franc and Cab Sauvignon. For me, this wine has some weird contrasts with what seems to be ripe Syrah fruit counter balanced by some under ripe Cab Franc. The vegetal nature of the finish on this wine turns me off. It seems clumsy.

Smells like a classical red bank Bordeaux. Nice, restrained nose, harmonious, Cabernet is prominent here. Like a well made Cru Bourgeois.
