Pronounced nose of floral (honeysuckle, chamomile, acacia), pear, yellow apple, citrus (lemon pith, Meyer lemon), and aromas/flavors from age: golden raisin, dried apricot, honey, ginger, marmalade. Still has very bright acidity and fresh fruit characteristics, which balances well with the age. Complex, integrated, well-balanced. Delicious for 17 years old and could probably stand a few more years of aging.

An absolutely beautiful wine. A honey brown in color, with a strong herbal nose. Lots of acidity. A hint of honey on the palate, very crisp and medium-bodied. Extra long finish. Perfectly balanced, and still tastes fresh and young at 13. Amazing wine.

I would challenge anyone (well most anyone) to NOT identify this wine as a top line French Chablis (as opposed to say a Norwegian Chablis or a Congo Chablis). The wine, 12 years old is crisp.. no make that CRISP. melons, pears. honey, perhaps a bit of lemon as well. This is the kinda wine one would feel comfortable either sipping in a darkened library surrounded by unread books by Proust, or at the diner table with anything from hot Indian food or a cool salad, or for that matter pouring it into a water glass and gulping it down. Its just friggin great wine. Like most Stony Hill Chardonnays, they get better with age which seems to stand in stark contrast to my own life. Highly recommended. Track down a bottle.

Some minerals on the nose with lemon peel and lime. The palate has yellow fruit, mild oak and a hint of sweet fruit. Delicious.

This seemed a little austere and drying upon opening but fruit showed up with the food. I like but not sure I'd age these further based on this btl.
