  Sour cherry, sous bois, lavender; on palate it is sour and tart, with strong notes of grapefruit; moderate length but lacking both depth and charm; possible concerns about the cork so may not have been an in tact bottle

  CSD theme session. 1st blind. Drank in Conterno Sensory.
  Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour with thin garnet rim. Legs.
  Nose is clean, pronounced intensity, with aromas of melted earth, sous bois undergrowth, cool stony minerality, dark red cherries. Developed.
  On the palate, dry, wonderful high acidity, medium alcohol (13.5%), medium+ tannins, medium+ body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of melted earth, sous bois, slightly green undergrowth, cool stony minerality, dark red cherries. Long finish.
  Very good quality. Starts off very elegant, hen gets more savoury and weightier with air. Culminated as the best CSD of the session. A nose to die for. Great overall package.
  I guessed correctly 2008. Should have guessed Georges Lignier with that aromatic nose.

  Red fruits, raspberry, cranberry. Black cherry. Rosemary, thyme. Eucalyptus? Minerals and hint of laver. Slight jerky. Red flowers. A glimpse of a layer unfolds with every sip. Fine tannins, medium finish.
