Terrific bottle. Clearly in great condition like the Ponnelle with its still-vibrant red color, but deeper, denser, and with more personality. There is a smokiness to the aroma as well as a gravelly mineral element. With air, it gets sweeter and more enticing, like there was some oatmeal cookie and maple syrup in the mix. So satisfying to drink - resolved and earthy and perfectly mature and it even puts on weight with air, coming across with an impressively thick, dense presence.

La Paulée de New York Gala Dinner (Metropolitan Pavilion - New York NY): Tasting, brief note. Beautifully mature with lots of sauteed mushroom and ripe fruit that has gracefully matured. This was served to me blind and I thought it well aged Grand Cru from either Morey or Chambolle.
