Dark ruby, muted nose of reddish fruit. Forgot I had this in the NC cellar. Pleasant surprise that paired well with roast chicken and Vietnamese curry.

Nose is laden with limestone dust and stone along with still vibrant notes of dried cranberry, strawberries and Bing cherry skins. Hints of garden herbs. On the palate a lovely balanced acidity remains and the fruit is lithe and Burgundian in style. Finesse over power with tart cranberry and cherry flavors and hints of rhubarb and baking spices. Perhaps even cardamom. It's minerally on the backbone with a racy acidity through the finish. I'd wager this has some good years of life left in it if cellared.

Dark ruby with dense black/berry fruit. Young wine; somewhat closed, but seems to have limited potential for the fragrant type of PN I look forward to. Not bad, but better Oregon examples.

Dark in terms of the usual pinot spectrum. Full nose of strawberry, cranberry, spice, and a touch of vanilla. Surprisingly sweet sensation on entry, with cherry and candy-apple flavors. Mouthfeel starts off fairly round but then a sturdy acid backbone kicks in, with a bit of a (to me) off-putting sourness. Sort of an intriguing wine, though not an entirely pleasant drinking experience. I'm developing an interest in this relatively unknown region and am looking forward to trying some other pinots from this area. It feels like it needs 2-4 years to peak.

Medium ruby, narrowly spaced legs. Medium(-) aromas of baked red fruit and butterscotch. Dry, medium(+) acidity, low tannin, medium(-) body, medium(+) alcohol. Medium flavors of strawberry jam, maraschino cherry, preserved fruit, pepper. Balanced but too much pepper for my liking. Good length with dry finish. Linear, and flat middle palate. Benefits a bit from aeriation.
