Tasted after the wine was open in a very cold room overnight.
Round, open nose of dark fruits, black cherries, and plum. Palate has silky tannins, medium acid, medium alcohol (13.8%). More black cherries with a hint of baking spice. A hint of baking spices, and a loamy note. This is well balanced, but also fruit-forward. I'll buy a few more.

Opened 30 minutes, no decant. Medium dark for pinot. Nose of sour cherry, some plum and earth. Light/thin with little bit of tannin and good acidity. Some oak, wood, red-purple fruit. I'm going to decant this now before dinner. Decanted (no sediment) and after 1.5 more hours it really improved, melded/smoother and very nice with chicken.

Drank at restaurant in Nashville for $45 on wine list, an amazing value a this was the estate, heritage vines bottling, nice bouquet, somewhat soft, restrained and light by Chalone standards, nice fruit with good balance, a crowd pleaser, drank with ribeye steak, will drink again if I can find it, with new ownership the wine has been harder to find.

Flowery cola spice nose. Red fruit + vanilla palate. Going down fast on Super Bowl Sunday.

Nice Pinot with moderately ripe california fruit without being over the top. Great for the price. 80-82
