  • Nice bouquet of fine liquor, pepper, stewed fruits. Great palate, lush, creamy, sweet with fully resolved tannins, again, with elements of fine liquor. Relatively hot but still comes across as not overly heavy and thick. In a great drinking window, no need to wait longer.

  • This may be the most interesting bottle of wine I've had. When pulling the cork slowly, there was a 2-3 second fiz similar to when opening a bottle of coke. The cork was immaculate, but wondered....
The first 90 minutes the wine was harsh, green, acidic, with no fruit or any other redeeming quality. Not at all like the last bottle.
Then, around two hours, the wine quickly became very very raisiny (in an excellent way if you like that), smooth, integrated, with pleasant muted red and blue fruit. Nice finish, paired well with food.
Stored at 57 degrees, so not sure what to think. I'd love to have a few more and pop them with friends to share the experience.

  • Still delightfully fruity once aerated. Ready for drinking now.

  • Solid but not spectacular. Full bodied lush wine with black and blue fruit. No glycerin and restrained alcohol. Big finish. Very enjoyable, nice example of Aussie wines.

  • The colour here betrays the age - a dark core fading to a ruby/garnet rim; dark peppery nose, evolving dried fruits with a touch of leaf mulch. Leather and dried fruits; quite soft now but still holding good acidity. Some herbal/medicinal notes on the finish (eucalyptus). Good length.
