Complex aromas of walnut, plumb, blackberry, tar and black olive. Elegant profile with a sturdy frame. Lingering fine tannin with ash, eucalyptus and mint on the finish. Drink now to 2024.

Decanted 1.5hrs Ate with honey glazed ham for Xmas Eve. Color: Deep, opaque purple Nose: Jam, Oak, Maple Syrup, Ripe fruit. Full body, - acid. A full, enveloping, luscious mouthfeel. The taste doesn't linger, but the texture does. Still red fruit, jam, rhubarb, hint of strawberry. Fruit sits very forward in the palette, the secondary flavors take over quickly. I wouldn't sit on this for much longer. Didn't taste hot at all after 1.5hrs decanting, so would highly recommend doing that at a min (based on previous user experience). Great blend from Torbreck, would buy again.

Blackberry nose, blackberry and licorce on the palate. Nice streak of acid and not too sweet. The 15.5 alcohol does show though so I limited to two glasses. Under cork, not screw cap here in the UK.

Last bottle of this vintage and it drank really well. Fruit was fully mature this time, and overall impression very elegant.

Steading 2012
Attractive nose - plum mineral muted smoke and musk.
Tight and accurate balance on the palate. Dark fruits, vanilla and oak
After hour, Spicy and leather on the nose. Still hint of stewed plums.
Palate, Expressive yet clean. Chassis and smoke on the palate
This is a nice wine. Will hold for a few years but doubt it improves. Solid qpr, crowd pleaser.
