Bottle #1 was unremarkable. But #2 was everything you want in a RRV pinot noir: fruit forward, complexity and depth of flavor. #1 bottle might have been a little corked, but #2 delivered everything we've come to expect from Arista: intense red fruit on entry and mid, well-balanced finish.

Not exactly what I was expecting, but I kind of liked it. Black cherry fruit, but also some cranberry tartness. Lovely red color and perfect mouth feel, not too thin, not too plush. Finish was a little short. Had it with leftover turkey, but should pair well with a lot of things.
2/9/2016 Seemed more Zinfandel than Pinot. Tons of black cherry fruit, some leather and tobacco. Short finish. It did have enough acidity to keep it from being over the top plush & fruity.
1/7/2019 Maybe that second bottle was a little corked. This one tasted Pinot all the way. Lots of fruit, but then complex and restrained on the back end. Definitely a good food wine.

Totally surprised by this one. Nose with lively notes of strawberry, black cherry along with a hint of cola and forest floor. Palate is medium bodied for a Pinot but mouth coating. Initially with soft fruit but developing depth and complexity as it lingers. Kept fresh with some acidity. Soft medium long finish.

Nice fruit and smell. A little lighter and not a long finish, but I still liked this wine.
