Some amount of raspberry, but not overly fruity. Much more in the vein of earthiness and leather, with some herbage on the finish. And a quick right turn in the acidity with the herb. A little thin in the mouth. Much better with food, especially a creamy chicken w/mushrooms.

Drank with Owens family at Thanksgiving 2007. Decanted for sediment and let open for 20 minutes before drinking. Initial taste was pleasant mixture of the cherry and other berry flavors. Second glass after another half-hour or so in decanter showed more complexity of the flavors and a more lingering finish.

This wine has a bright incredible nose of ripe wild cherries, rose petals, hints of cloves and allspice. The intense concentrated flavors boast of raspberry, Bing cherry with a subtle infusion of Asian five spice and orange zest. Such a mixture of flavors and spices adds layers of flavor and texture. Smokey tannins draw out the acidity to create a pleasant lasting finish.

This definitely gained weight with some cellar time. I don't know if it will improve with more time. Fruit and spice.

A bit thin to start but gained weight with air. Lots going on, a melange of spices and dark berry fruit.
