Annoyingly high alcohol as many others here report. Porty. A few drops of cold water in each glass refreshed it somewhat but it was hot and there were just too much roasted coffee and black nicoise olive notes swimming around in my glass. In fact, I added chopped nicoise olives to the sauce hoping to cancel out that flavor in the wine, which helped, but still: this isn't the wine I hoped for.

Dark, rich, alcoholic but carries the ultra-ripe fruit well and, with alcohols approaching port level, is aging remarkably like a vintage port. Plush mouthfeel from both the fruit and the alcohol, some good winemaking kept the acid from disappearing, and finishes excellent length without losing much to the heat or age. One more bottle left and I'm fine keeping it another year.

This is a BIG wine. Big extraction, flavors of the darker fruits, it's thick. High alcohol, but I wouldn't have guessed as high as the label says (16+ if memory serves). This continues to be my fave cab from Washington state. Nice work team!

One of 5 Cabernets drunk (4 Washington, 1 California) at a blind bag tasting. All were well received and were easily recognized as Cabernets. All noted the alcohol in this wine and were and weren't surprised when upon unveiling we discovered it was 16.7%. The alcohol left a distinctive burn which significantly detracted from an otherwise nice wine.
