Not a strong vintage, but (therefore) already in a good drinking window. Lean but elegant, and (in particular because of the lower weight) a good companion for lamb chops. 91.

A bit better than 8 month ago when we had this ( Papies 88) ironically that was Les 110 in Paris and now in London. Spicy , firm, lacks a bit of fat frankly to help polish the wine and this is a reference point for minerality and good austerity in a wine. We would have loved a bit more weight of fruit but this is a very solid 90 of a bottle still.

Did a decanting experiment with coravin. Decanted every hour over 5 hours. 2-3 hours seemed to be the best, and longer than that the wine lost character. Even "at peak" in our experiment it was shy... black fruits and a little leather, but not much complexity.

Very light on the palette w a short but pleasurable finish.
Black cherries, black currants, some barnyard funk
Light+ to med Body
Short finish
Med alcohol
Reasonably tasty wine , but imho ultimately not worth what i paid for.
