A lovely ending of a fabulous evening. A much better bottle than reflected by the stepmotherly skimpy scoring here on CT.
Beautifully honeyed saffron notes over white flowers, apricots and a long long long deep-dive into canned pineapple and canned mandarins. It sports the acidity and depth to keep me happy. More towards medium sweet than sweet.

Cellartracker in the flesh with Stefan, Akiko, Mats & Tomas (Paul Boucasse, Tokyo): "Served blind. Caramel, muscovado sugar, sweet spice, baked apple, cream, toffee apple on the nose. Medium plus intensity acidity, tangy, toffee, apple, textured burr clean but showing age, sour toffee apple, perfumed, slight saffron. I knew this was Sauterne and old (60's or 70's) but had no idea on producer..."
