HDH auction tasting at Tru; 6/22/2012-6/23/2012 (Chicago, IL): Pale golden colour. Delicate green and perfumed nose, with gentle oak and some aromas of peaches and cream. On the palate though, this seems a little bit ripe, lacking a good acidic kick. But the wine seems just a little bit hot; a bit of alcoholic bite in the mid-palate. Nonetheless, a delicious Puligny.

Day of the Goat: A Pichon Lalande Fractured Vertical (Leo & Cheryl's Place, Mpls, MN): Light medium gold color. Drank a glass over 20 minutes. Very nice, good density, citrus oil, custard, big stony minerality, a little chalk, steely, citrus, spice, oak toast. 91+ to 92pts.

Knightsbridge Annual Holiday Burgundy Tasting and Sale (Northbrook, IL): Tasting, brief note. Ripe and rich peach and apple aromas, Similar flavors showcasing lush fruit but nicely balanced by good mineral and acid support. An elegantly stlyed 2009.
