Deep lemon. Odd nose, not one that I ave encountered with this wine before. Buttery oak scents followed by intense sweet chestnut as Yiannis says. The varietal apricots are there as are the usual peaches and melons I get fom this wine. There's also a lingering aroma of sweet basil that I only used to get from Greece's other great Viognier, Mercouri's Comma Berenices. Oily full bodied palate, apricots, peaches and chestnut just like the nose. Medium acidity with a good finish. Unsure if it's got enough fruit to age further.

(Wines of Northen Greece Fair, Grande Bretagne Hotel) Restraint nose, ripe peach and vanilla hints. Round almost sweet mouth, some oak in the back, with vanilla again and ripe peach and melon notes on the medium aftertaste.

Oinorama Wine Fair 2012; 3/17/2012-3/18/2012: (tasted at Oinorama) The nose is a bit restrained, quite fat in the mouth, typical (low) acidity with the oak appearing suddenly at the end of a shortish to medium aftertaste.

Ultra-Premium Greek Whites (Le Petit Sommelier Restaurant, Athens, Greece): Intense candied chestnut (marron glac'e), very ripe apricot and sweet oak. Med+ body, rich fruit, moderate acidity and a med+ aftertaste. Received 1 point.
