  • A little disjointed and hot upon opening, but once it settle down and came back together (about an hour) it was much more palatable. Ripe notes of prune, black plums, cocoa powder, sweet beef jerky, and tobacco. Lacks a certain finest on the palate, and the finish kind of drops off, but easy to drink and enjoy. An innocuous wine.

  • Garnet coloring when poured. A sharp note on the palate that faded after about 15 minutes. Lots of black fruit, a hint of vanilla and a touch of earth. Well put together with the tannins having faded! Ready to drink!

  • Soft lush nose with hints of vanilla and flint. Flows across the palate with warm rich textures that coat and satisfy. Chewy black raspberries and blackberries are balanced by earthy slate and bright acidic tones that lead a delicate yet long finish. Maybe a little thin on the mid-palate, but delicious nonetheless.

  • The nose is ALL steamed meats with some black berry and cardamom. The palate has a nice purity with fantastic balance and structure. There is blueberries, blackberries, black cherry, smokey bacon, sun warmed river stones and more. A very nice and precise, albeit maybe a wee simple Syrah from Purisma mountain, never ever to be confused with a French wine. Tannins are resolves and acidity rides slightly high. This would be great with some grub. A longish finish with much vibrancy. Pretty nice for the price at auction ($15) and glad I have more. I will hold the rest of this for dinner, and btw, it needs at least a 30 minute decant.
