A monster in the glass! The endless flavors deliver on and on. Soft tannins but with a depth of intense black fruit. Cherry brandy aromas with exotic spices in the nose. Have long enjoyed Clarendon Hills Syrahs, but this Astralis is in its own category. A must try for anyone who enjoys Syrahs.

Seamless, expressive nose with layers of fresh blackberry, black currant and black cherry. Wafts of warm spices, earth, and tobacco. A touch of dried herbs and a real savoury character. Pure cohesion on the palate with high, fine tannins and lovely freshness. And then the finish.... Just incredible. In a perfect spot to drink now but no rush. Phenomenal.
WSET Notes:
Deep garnet.
Pronounced on the nose with blackberry, black currant, black cherry, dates, vanilla, savoury notes, cedar, cinnamon, leather, earth, dried herbs, tobacco. Developing.
Pronounced and dry on the palate. Full body, high alcohol, high tannins, high acidity, long finish.
Can drink now but has potential for ageing.

Incredibly fragrant with lilac, macerated cherry, and a whiff of leather. Well integrated and huge mouthfeel with plumb preserve, cedar, blackberry jam, molasses, and a touch of charred beef. Must have been a bruiser in its youth, but has come around nicely. Delicious.
