One of the better versions of this I have drank. It had the orange with brown center color that is expected, but this had better juiciness than I sometimes get on this technique with nice mid-weight body and plenty of acidity to go along with the nuttiness that one associates with a Sercial Madeira - almost a umami element. Very good with a roasted squash based dish. A pleasant surprise, since I find these difficult to pair with food most times. I think it will hold for a few years, but "drink now" is floating in my mind at the moment.

I am going to decline to give this a numerical score. Never having had this before, I had no idea what to expect. The color looked somewhere between orange and the light brown of a sherry. I had it side by side with Paolo Bea's Chiara, which has been described as an orange wine, but this looked to be the same color. Highly tannic, and acidic with notes of lemon, apricot, and some spices. It was undrinkable without food, but with a basic salad and some bread it was very nice. I liked it, but at $60 per bottle, I probably won't purchase this again.

Same. Delightful with a white pizza with mushrooms.

This has really matured well. As before, acid keeps it fresh. Now far more complex. 13%

Well that has lost nothing for elegance or beauty or pitch.
