Oh my - a young pup. Opened a day earlier - left the cork out for most of the day, re-corked after trying a glass (very tight) - left open for a few hours before dinner. It was great but took quite a while to soften the tannins but really enjoyable. Cellared since release - would have guessed something far younger blind. I have a few more of these and won’t touch one 5-10 years! Fun but needs a huge decant or just let it rest and be rewarded in a decade..

Ruby/brick-red. This bottle seems less evolved than previous bottles, although plenty of tertiary elements showing. Aroma of pine, liquorice, gingerbread, flowers. Flavours of plum tart, oak, resin, chocolate. Bone dry. Delicious with food.

Stood up for months, small amount of fine sediment in the last oz. Light ruby, youthful for nebbiolo of this age; aromatic, red cherries, roses, floral, very slight tar, complex aromas; palate is light bodied, very approachable medium-plus tannins, medium-plus to high acidity, red fruited, elegant, slight leafy; finish is medium length. I have been drinking down my stock of Produttori because they have always been good but not exceptional (and the same is technically true for this bottle), but this is so satisfying, enjoyable, and elegant for the $55 that I paid for it that I kind of wish I had more. 92
