  • Real wine!
    Solid 8/10
    The brett is fantastic!
If you're looking for a natural high and a wonderful journey of flavor to get you there, then this is the wine for you.
It's color of garnet and ruby, here at 7 years shows no real sign of age, yet assuredly the maturation has brought it to a place of interesting palate filled expression of terroir. 10 generations of wine industry, Morey brings and yet offers his own recent creation to his lineage of sacred vitus vinifera.
Morey, si vous avez commence de creer vos vins depuis si recement de temps, comment se fait-t-il que vos vins soit si autentique, avec tellement d'autorite?

This wine is chalky, tart with cherry sans sucre, palate infusion of grit and smooth, light tannins.
If an American vintner produced this he surely would have killed it before bottling with various chemical abortion techniques of inoculation at his disposal.
American reader, this is NOT a wine for you, unless you enjoy real wine, kreik or maybe even a gueuze. You can keep to your sweet, manipulated uninteresting, terroir void, adulterated travesty before Dyonisis poison water. The rest of us will enjoy Maranges by Morey.

  • A clean, medium ruby color and a nose of raspberry, meat, and a hint of mushroom. The palate is earthy and may not be appealing to some but it is pleasant showing red berries, sour cherry, cranberry, ink, graphite, and mushroom. Low/ medium acidity and low tannins but rather short finish.

  • I've only had 2 Maranges, one from 08, and this10. Same winemaker.
I love it! The nose is so present- it's firery, spicey, massive evergreen tree sap, sandlewood, loads of fresh ground black pepper. Fruit comes out a bit on the palate- -green plum, saline and a great cranberry tartness.
Obviously rustic, but I could drink this every time with a smile on my face. At just over 24$.
With escargot , muscles and flank steak.

Want to try some other winemakers to see if this is the regional style.
