  • So smooth and black fruit coming through this time. Subtle spice up front for interest.

  • DRANK FROM A MAGNUM 1.5L - LET ME BEGIN BY SAYING THIS WAS INCREDIBLE. I SPOKE TO WINERY BEFORE OPENING, SAID TO AIR 30MINS BEFORE SERVING. CORK PERFECT CONDITION, VERY LITTLE SEDIMENT AT VERY END OF BOTTLE, INKY PURPLE, DARK BROODING FRUIT, CASSIS, STRAWBERRIES AND RASBERRIES, SOME GRAPHITE AND FOREST FLOOR FUNK. COMPLETELY INTEGRATED, NOT TANNIC NOT BREATHY, ALCOHOL IN CHECK. INCREDIBLY FRAGRENT BOUQUET JUST INTOXICATING, WITH A FINISH THAT WAS EASILY 20+ SECONDS.
ENJOYED WITH FAMILY OVER PRIME RIB ON X-MAS EVE 2020, STAR OF THE EVENING.

  • This deep red/garnet wine is a blend of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Petit Verdot and 4% Cabernet Franc, aged for 17 months in French oak (70% new). Assessed by serial sampling of a pristinely cellared magnum that had been double-decanted (allowing two hours in decanter prior to funneling back into the cleansed magnum), it oozes with dark bramble fruits, baking spices, mocha, licorice, pipe tobacco and savory herbs. Full-bodied and with low-to-medium acidity, it wraps its flavors with silky-textured tannins and just the right amount of toasted oak. Layered on the middle palate and finishing long, this is nothing short of liquid hedonism. Those holding well-cellared magnums will be quite pleased with this wine at any point throughout the decade. Drink now-2030.

  • Not sure how this could be any better than it is right now. Decanted this for about an hour and it opened up beautifully. Delicate berry on the palate lingers perfectly.
