This was the third of our Thanksgiving dinner wines and it was really good. It has much of what I love about Tempranillo, earthy with lots of blackberry/black cherry and the fruit has held up really well. But what I really liked was how subtle the oak was. That, coupled with solid acidity, makes this a smooth, but fresh wine. It was a good pairing with the Turkey + trimmings. I don’t think there’s a rush to drink this, but it’s certainly in its drinking window now.

Lovely nose of sweet perfumed red fruit, fruitcake, pipe tobacco, nutmeg, and other baking spices.
It is still quite dark purple with no browning on the edges. Red cherry and faint raspberry are still generous and fresh with sour cherry, garden herbs like thyme, black tea, and earthy notes rounding out the medium length finish. Tannins are mostly integrated and slightly drying on the finish making this wine a good match for food.
Overall a nice wine and ready to go with a short decant, although it will hold for several more years. Drink 2020 - 2024.

Black in the glass. Tobacco, blackberry, charred oak, savory nose. medium body, medium+ acidity, medium tannins and medium+ finish (holding back overall score). Savory on palate as well. blackberry, black tea, plum, dark cherry.
Very enjoyable. 92+/-
Would buy again - this is still young.

Reminded me of how savoury a wine Pesquera can be.

Mediocre. Forse affinato troppo per le qualità in campo.
Vino buono, ma piuttosto dozzinale.
