At tasting. Brief note. Perfectly stored bottle and it showed. Pours a day bright ruby red with minor bricking at the rim. Nose and palate showed very classic red and purple fruits, cedar, pencil lead, baking spice, old cigar and fine grained oak. Midpalate had good level of intensity from the red fruits with appetite whetting acid and velvety round tannins that dial up the graphite and spice nicely. Finish is long and very pleasurable with moderate complexity. A great food wine

My Retirement Party (Princeton, NJ): This wine was drinkable, but least special of all the 30 yr old reds tasted.
