Sweet nose of blackberries, cedar, dark cherry. On the palate, tannins coat the tongue with a light dusting. Flavors of cherry.
This wine is far better than I had anticipated. When I last had it over five years ago it was over the hill (perhaps a bad bottle?). This has more life. I would definitely drink it soon, but it is good enough to pair with a meal, rather than just to taste to see what an old over the hill wine is like.
