Yup, this is a cut from the robe of the same one about 6 years ago...Well made wine that just does not get too much more interesting with age, it just gets softer.
Lots of vanilla bean and deep red fruit with notes of raspberry and blackberry. Warm baking spices, and a dry tannic finish with a mini vanilla explosion at the end. Fun wine and one to serve Napa lovers. Drink

Wonderful wine! Let it breathe 2h in bottle. Once we started drinking it just opened up. Fantastic bottle. Rich, unctuous... will definitely last another few years

Bit of a guilty pleasure as far as the oak goes on this one. Loads of coconut on the nose along with some dusty spice. The coconut carries right through the palate, with tons of sweet blackberry and sandalwood. Although weighty and extracted in nature, there is some decent structure and an interesting vegetal component.

Thick and black as name suggests. A glass coating well balanced Malbec that has time on its side. When you look closer, you may find that the blackness is in fact a blizzard of rich ruby. With spice bazarre, tar, ink, and transition to ground roasted coffee beans. Finish is full and the acidity is lip smacking bright. Built to the hilt for the rest of the decade, but enjoyable now.
