  • Still beautiful ruby. Heathy ang glossy. Raspberries and earth. A touch of floral notes. Just in a perfect place right now. I served it from a cooler bucket to ensure 14-15C serving temperature. Lovely freshness and uplift. Still some primary cranberry crunchyness which is surprisingly good. Tastes a lot like it smells. Just delicious with roast rack of lamb with visiting buddy RT from California. Still have 7 left to enjoy from this case. Lucky me!

  • Wow. Can't believe I am the first to review this wine here! Stunning. Bright ruby, glossy and so full of life. I decanted it for about 30 mins as I thought it seemed quite firm but it opened up magnificently with an incredible maserated raspberry nose, wild strawberries and complementary earth and spice notes. It was the WOFN against a 90 Evangile, 86 Pichon and 76 Figeac. Brilliant freshness and acidic balance with plenty of life in it. Wonderful purchase from Wally's last year at a bargain $110/bt. See there is still good value to quality grand cru burgundy out there if you really try and you avoid the brand names and seek out the traditional producers who are quietly going about improving their wines with little fanfare!
