  Opened for 30 min prior to this note. Pretty aromas of just ripe red and black cherries, some herbs, and some bark. Palate with herbs, dark cherries, earth, bark and baking spices. Med body with med tannins. Excellent depth and concentration as befits a grand cru. This is so young but possesses really nice material that's just buried now. I anticipate that this will be fantastic when it finally reaches maturity.

  light-medium young red color, sexy nose of crushed raspberries and cloves, hint of chalk, beautifully grained, on the palate young and peppery with a deft light-footed texture of mineral and dried leaf notes, closed and primary red fruit, raspberry with a bit of cherry, plum, light in feel but with great depth, with time the verve factor kicks up a notch, hints of game, cinnamon, marvelous tension, another splendid 2017 chez Drouhin.
