First of 12x from secondary market before prices gone nuts, good old days when a case actually means 12. A cuvée I don’t buy frequently enough as I am super long on the GC VV. PnP. ABV 13%. Explosive floral nose, nose is very Fourrier like. Mostly flower notes with some dark soils and oaks lurking underneath. Sweet and smooth on the entry, lively with vibrant acidity of the vintage, soft and fine tannins, a tad spicy at finish. Good length and complexity for a village in a variable vintage. Just like ‘07, Fourrier hits out of ball park on these lean vintages, this is a very well made wine especially for ‘11. Still showing mostly Fourrier rather than Gevrey Chambertin. Ready to go and will last. In the good old days, I probably could drink the whole bottle by myself very quickly…yay…it’s nice and easy to drink.

Absolutely phenomenal. This was in such a perfect place today. Rich and broad with pure red fruit and just a hint of dried herbs. Honestly this was polished off so fast among 6 of us. It was one of the best 2011s I've had and it makes me believe that the vintage is mostly ready to drink now. Fabulous!
Just beautiful. See prior notes. Excellent on PNP, no decant needed. Iron and blood on the nose. Weightless palate that does deepen with some hours of air.

Pretty super wine. Very pale brick. There is that sinewy nose that top tier burgundy often displays. Very pure red berry fruit on the nose (strawberry). Light body with old vine flavor depth. Pretty terrific village wine. I think it will be at its best over the next five years but will hold for quite a while. (91)

Beautifully perfumed, wafting and ethereal nose that reminds me of cherry Coke... :-)
Palate shows spice and brambles with a very persistent finish. Finely integrated tannins that prickle the tongue. Wow!
