Never been a fan of this label, as I find them thin and lacking tension (also affirmed when I see my previous notes). Caught by surprise here. More in Burgundy fashion with barnyard, funky, tertiary aromas, savoury and I even got the big burgundy glass out. Loved it. 13.5%

Stewed cherries and some coffee, looks like a hot vintage. Too boring, half the bottle left overnight. Surprisingly, much nicer on the next day, with some tertiary aromas and smooth texture, those fruity aromas turned into tobacco and earth. Hasn't got the structure of a long distance runner, but I was quite impressed with its showing on day 2. It would be 85p if was only day 1.

Yummy and great QPR (C$21 tax in when purchased), enjoyable value Chianti Classico, has all the basic components, good acidity, Tuscan feel, bit of leather & fruit, perfect with some pasta & red sauce. Wine nicely came together (our taste preference with some age vs current vintage off the shelf)

Lovely medium bodied Chianti, especially considering the price. Drinking perfectly at this age IMHO.
