Taste like a Master Somm (Chicago, IL): The somewhat thin nature of the vintage shows on the nose and palate here -- this is a really light wine, and there's actually a slight tinge of green as well. It's obviously not as troublesome in a chardonnay as in a pinot though. A nice hint of smokiness adds complexity. The palate is a little thinner than I would expect from the appellation, but there's some good material coiled up right now that might just need some more time to express itself.

MASTER BORGOGNA AIS; 10/15/2013-6/28/2014 (HOTEL WESTIN PALACE MILANO): 20% legno nuovo Naso gentile, camomilla, fiori d' acacia e burro chiarificato. Un sussurro. In bocca sassi, anice e citronella ammollati nello zucchero. delicatissimo, molto lungo, ma l' annata 2011 ha sfornato bianchi un pò scarni. Manca la "ciccia" delle annate migliori
