  • CV lunch at Nicolas. Off the wine list.
Appearance is clear, medium intensity, purplish ruby colour. Legs.
Nose is lean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of violets, dense purple fruits, dark red cherries, fragrant earth and spice. Developing.
On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol (13.5%), medium tannins, medium+ body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of sweet baking spices, sweet earth, bits of mocha toast wood, purple fruits, dense dark cherries. Long finish.
Very good quality. But just seems ponderous and disjointed at this point of time. Another 3 years may be better.
