  • Day three of this wine was very good. The wine has a slight smokey flavor and the cherry flavors really came out. It really settled down from day one. On day one it was opened during dinner and left to breathe for an hour, and just was tight, closed, acidic and honestly terrible. But, after letting it settle in the cabinet for a couple of days the wine is actually quite good right now. Anyone opening this bottle should do so at least the day before serving.

  • Dark red. No bricking. There's a coolness to the age-induced ripeness. Lots of ripe red fruit; clean acid; moderate, chalky tannins and, possibly, some oak. Silky, medium body without heaviness. Not lacking complexity, nor elegance. Finely boned. Reasonable depth of flavour. Clean, fresh, reasonably long finish. Remarkably not shut down, yet it's best yet to come as it develops tertiary flavours. Enjoyable if still young. Wait if you can. 92++

  • A wonderful drink. Very Pinot with sharp cherry, spices, tea and ashtray on the nose. The palate was brisk and clean. Strong underlying acidity and soft tannins carry a sour cherry fruit forward through a medium length finish.

  • Domaine Pavelot Freres bottling.

A pretty and refined nose with pure strawberry and raspberry notes. Medium bodied and supple, discreet acid drawl, fresh red fruits, fine length and a splash of fine-boned tannins at the end. If there was any notes of 11 greenies, it was hard to see in this bottling. A good Burgundy at this station and true to its appellation, sound value.

  • Opened up nicely with strawberries, wet stone, and light cherry. Soft and elegant style with crisp beautiful finish. There was ample fruit and the wine was perfect with a light chicken dish. Highly recommended for the price and a pleasure to drink now. Might last a couple more years before fading.
