The nose displays an untamed, initially slightly stalky, pure Cabernet character, with good sweet black fruit, distinctive but not green bitters and warmth from the oak; lovely ripe blackcurrant fruit buffers the energetic and tannic structure very well, there is good tension and the alcoholic weight does not get in the way; good length.
