Ruby red color had me expecting darker fruit, but mostly red cherry and raspberry. Kind of a muddled mid-palate, but nice light finish that complemented the richness of our fermented black bean chicken.
7/25/2018 Still noted that bright red fruit. I commented on some licorice at the end that I apparently didn't tasted in the first bottle. Made the result front to back a little more interesting. Acidity was good throughout and cut nicely through an avocado shrimp chopped salad.

This drank better than our 2009 bottle. It was similar in some ways, with red fruit, forest floor, herbs, tea and earth - but brighter red fruit and much better acidity. We had his with DeGiornio pizza with pork sausage with fennel, genoa salami and various herbs, and it was an ok (but not perfect) pairing.
Drink now or soom. Ok qpr for $17 on close-out)

One of the most interesting Pinots I've ever tasted. It's hard to describe. I can't believe it drinks like this at such a young age. Mysteriously complex, but more in a Central California Coast Pinot style than Northern California where this is sourced. It has that light, bright color like Central Cali Pinots and similar acidity

Pleasant strawberry flavor, effervescent, not remarkable
