Much, much better than 2 years ago. More generous. Dark fruit and chocolate. Well balanced. Long finish. Smooth. Cannot believe this was 25 quid a bottle with 10 years’ storage on it. Not a brilliant vintage but showing very well. Remainder should be fine for several years.

An easy afternoon with close friends (@ PdV): Beautiful bouquet with earth, dark berries, herbs and spices, some smoke, beautiful oak and salty licorice. On the palate a bit rustic with dark berries, some chocolate, sweet licorice, good acidity and tannin with still a good bite, some sweetness and a great length. 92+

Decent wine from a poor vintage. Equal to many higher ranked Chateaus other than Gruaud Larose. In general, pass on the 2011s though this was decent at close out price.

Drank this at Wah Lok (Carlton Hotel) during a wine dinner with my wine mates. Theme of the evening: wines from the Year of the Rabbit.
One of the youngest wines of the evening. Flavourful and packs a punch. Fresh notes of berries and licorice and some herbal vegetal notes. Drinking nicely now, but should hold nicely for another 5 to 10 years easily.

Muted dark cherries, leather, limited depth/complexity, shortish finish … overall an unmemorable bottle with no/limited upside potential.
