I think this bottle was a bit past prime. Still crisp with good delineation, but not as well-rounded and full as I want w Bordeaux to be. nzinkgraf caught it well -- I did not taste any age, but I wished I ahd.

Lots of skunky mineral aromas. Comes together with some air. Needs more air. Doesn't come out of the bottle with nearly the darker color that it was suggested would emerge. If there's fruit, it's pear, but more tertiary. Not petrol, but funk, still loveable. Day 2. Lots of modesty today on the nose and palate. Mineral, lime, pear palate. I would not guess this to be a 20 year old wine. While not primary, not overly mature in any sense. No nut, not too much color (relative to others experiences with these bottles.

Golden color. it was suggested a previous bottle's color lightened after having been open for a day. lemon curd candy aromas. white fleshed fruit aromas. lemon fizz candy and almond aromas. ripe lime fruit. lots of flesh, light mushroom palate, med/+ acid, hints of floral and sandalwood. drinking pretty damn well. Stored in a temperature controlled warehouse upon release. Someone thought this was the '94 rouge and let it go long, alas, it's the blanc.

Impressingly complex bottle. According to the age sherry like taste after oxidation. Still dome freshness but its past its best times.

25 years of the Cathiards at Smith Haut Lafitte: all magnum verticals (Château Smith Haut Lafitte): Savory, and hints of white tobacco, hay and green apple. Quite fine acidity, and full bodied Old World charm. Perhaps the finish is medium, rather than long, but there is plenty of charm.
